UFO in warp
3rd October 2009 – 3.26 pmI am warping around collecting minerals when I get one of those rare and majestic moments of coincidentally warping alongside a fellow capsuleer. I am in my Crane, of course, which zips along at an impressive 9 AU/s, but I have no idea what the other ship is that is managing to keep up with me. It's quite pointy, whatever it is.

That would be a Nightmare, a Sansha battleship design obtained by some capsuleers for their own use.
You would have easily outpaced it once your warp speed accelerates, but in those early moments before hitting your high speed you can see each other in warp.

Ah, thank you. I saw it listed as 'Nightmare' in the overview, but my market search came up dry.
It wasn't just in the early moments of warp either, as I had time to hit ctrl-f9 to clear the multitude of windows open, spin the camera around and get two screen grabs before we dropped out of warp. Don't ask me how it happened, though.
it's a faction ship (http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Nightmare) quite costly - but puts out a heck of a lot of DPS. have a look at some of the recent tournament videos - it's used in quite a few. I've got a couple of screenshots ready to put on my blog but haven't posted them yet - very cool ship in any case.
I own one as my main mission running ship. Its like a Marauder with only four turrets but 100% bonus damage, and shield tanks really well.
